If you are abroad, you can have your fingerprints taken in ink at:
-A local police stationA government office
-A Canadian embassy or consulate
-A notary public
-An authorized fingerprinting agency
The prints must be taken on the official RCMP C-216C form, or on your local police form if it uses the same format (see question 10 for an example).
Once completed, send the original fingerprint card by mail to our office in Montreal. We will securely convert your fingerprints to digital format and submit them to the RCMP.
Please include the following items:
- Original fingerprint card — the card containing your fingerprints taken by a recognized organization in your country.
- Photocopies of two valid government-issued IDs (e.g., passport, driver’s licence, national identity card). See question 4 for details on accepted ID.
- Third-party consent form (if applicable) — required if you want your results sent to someone other than yourself (e.g., family member, lawyer, or IDforce). We will provide you with this form if needed.
International fingerprint processing starts at $109.99 CAD (plus taxes).
⚠️ A mandatory $25 RCMP fee may also apply depending on the type of application.
We offer three delivery options:
- Direct from RCMP to You 📩Results mailed by regular post to your home address.Free, but no tracking. Best if your country’s postal system is reliable.

- IDforce Secure Courier ✈️Results sent to IDforce, then shipped to you via courier (FedEx, DHL, etc.) with tracking.Cost varies by destination. Recommended if local postal service is unreliable.
Yes, except for specific types of applications:
- Federal jobs in Canada → RCMP sends directly to the department.
- U.S. immigration (personal) → must be sent to your home address.
- Applicants under 18 → must be sent to the minor’s home address.
In all other cases, you can choose your preferred delivery address when registering.
